The good, the bad, and the ugly..

Every family has its trials. But this month has definitely been a tough one to overcome. I'm so grateful for the closeness of my family. The picture above is my Uncle Fred's business. Colonial Building Supply. It caught fire Monday night around 6pm. Colonial has been in our family for years. My Grandpa Hale begin this business and it has been a staple in our family for so long. My uncle is looking up. The front of the building is a complete loss, but the warehouse was saved and they will continue to be open to serve customers.
On July 14, 2010, the same day that my babies were born, My sweet cousin Jenna passed away after a tough fight against cancer. She was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma 4 years ago. She was such an inspiration to me and she will never be forgotten.

On June 23, my cousin Heidi lost her husband, Will Packer unexpectedly to heart failure.
He was also my Uncle Fred's only son-in-law. Will was an amazing individual with such a positive attitude about everything. He will truly be missed.
At times like this, I am grateful for my family. Through all our trials in these past few weeks. We will find a way to overcome and rise above the ashes. I honestly can say that I have the greatest Aunts, Uncles and cousins. We are all so close and I'm grateful for everything they do for me and for each other. Sometimes its hard to understand why things happen and when, but you just have to put all your trust in the lord and know that everything happens for a reason.

Trials will happen all the time, but that is what families are for. Trials only make us stronger and you're blessed to have such amazing people around that love and care about you.

This is so crazy. I have always looked up to your family & always will! My good friend Nikki (Maw) Blasdell has a sister Stephanie who is marrying Heidi's bro. Cody. What a small world because just this morning I was talking to Nikki on the phone and she was telling me this family's story. I wondered if it was the same Hale's as you... you guys are so strong through your trials and really sometimes it seems to pour when it rains! I know you will stay close to the Lord & continue to be an example to me!
