The Pumpkin Patch

This year we decided to go to Patches Pumpkin patch in Farmington to pick out our pumpkins! Brent or I have never actually gotten to pick out our pumpkins before and figure it would be a fun tradition to start with our children.
I was really impressed with the pumpkin patch! There was a corn maze for the kids and fun photo shoot oppurtunities! There was also several other kinds of produce available to purchase. We browsed through the hundreds of pumpkins before selecting our favorite.
The twins loved it and we are sure to go again next year!

until next year!

Bathtime

I remember when I could lay both babes gently in the bath and take my time washing their hair and scrubbing their little bodies and simply just take in the lovely scent of the baby body wash. All while singing to them.
Fast foward to today.

Both of them barely fit in their together.
Water is flying everywhere. Bath toys are strung across the entire bathroom, they fight laying down, they splash each other, try to stand up, slipping and wiggling all over. I wash their hair as fast as possible, dip them back one by one while trying to save the other one from slipping and knockin their noggin.
Take them out, dry them off, chase their naked bums all over till I get a diaper and clothes on.
Its a fight some days. sigh*
But these are the days I never want to forget

Then once I get them all dressed and clear the tub.. They just climb back in.

Oh the joy.

Birthday Bash!

This weekend -->back in june when this was supposed to be posted.. (I just found it in my drafts!!)
we had our annual birthday celebration, Matt, Jackson and I share the same birthday week so we get together to celebrate our getting oldness.
We had a fun BBQ and a killer volleyball game!

Baylee was more concerned about her food then looking at the camera.. and Tanner had a great time with this little trike! He was WALKING all over with it! It was the cutest thing ever.. I couldn't help but smile at him. He is getting so big and it totally showed in his expressions that he knew it to.

"cheese"

Baylee was proud of her brother, no stress little bay.. take your time before you walk to. Mom is totally okay with it. This was the first time Tanner has taken steps by himself holding onto something without the assistance of mom or dad...

Birthday candles were blown out

We played volleyball till the sun went down.
It was a great day!

Hawaii 2011

this summer has been quite busy for us. hence my slack on the blog. I feel as though this blog is a journal for my family so I want to be sure to blog about fun events, and all the summer vacations we took this year. As I sit here feeling somewhat overwhelmed with the thoughts of everything and what I want to say and blog about I just am going to take a breath and start from the beginning. yes? Well. Kind of. We sort of had a computer melt down in June and ended up backing up all of our pics onto a hard drive AKA. pictures to never be seen again.. So July it is.
Back in July, we went to Hawaii with the Bement Crew! We stayed in Kauai and it was amazing!! We rented a home and spent most of our time on a beach or exploring the island!! The babies stayed home with our good friends the neagles. It was our first time leaving them! I had a hard time at first but with all the flight delays, long flights and go-go-go of the trip we were glad we left them at home. But MISSED them like crazy.
Brent and I went on hikes almost every morning, snorkeling, charter boat, paddle boating, kayaking, and spent plenty of time playing on the beach in the waves! It was a great trip!

I spy brent on the rope swing!

Bike Cruising!

I want to go back....

{1 year}

No words can really express how I feel at this moment. My babies are ONE! I can't even believe how fast that year went by! To look back at pictures of them both snuggled in my arms and compare them to now when I can barely control/hold both of these little wiggle monsters at the same time is unreal. Every mom says it right when "they grow up too fast".
Tanner and Baylee have brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. They have turned into quite the little entertainers and watching them play together just melts my heart.
We had a beach themed birthday party to celebrate. Here are a few pictures from the party!

Our neighbors brought over this awesome water table! The babies loved it!!!! Despite their hate for pools.. they do love water as long as they are not in it;)

splish splash! I love B's face in this one!

Uncle Kyller and T

Cousin Reese and Baylee! These two are going to be best friends!

The babies barely touched their cake... clean babes!

Baylee was a little tired of opening all her presents!

Tanner LOVED it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABIES!
ONE YEAR DOWN...
LET THE ADVENTURE CONTINUE!
