dear jesus

We have a niece that lives in conneticut, they don't have alot of members of the lds church there, In school she is one of few. She was talking to a boy in her class and they had a little debate about the creation vs. evolution..
she wrote this letter to heavenly father.

Dear Heavenly Father and Jesus, I have a problem, Casey doesn't believe in you anymore. Please tell me what to do. I believe in you. I love you. I asked him, "who made earth, and who made you?" But he said he was made from space and said you did not die for us. He also said that nobody made the earth, he said one day it just poofed there. He doesn't believe in the Book of Mormon. I asked for proof that you guys weren't real and that we are not going to have more of life when everyone was dead. He said, "no, that's not true." So Please give me more proof to prove that you guys are real. Love B. P.S. I love you and I'm starting to learn to read the Book of Mormon . Please write a note back on this piece of paper like I did. Thank you and bye! XOXO I Love you."

What an example she is! The testimony of a child- so simple but yet so strong.

{8 months)

The twins are 8 months old. Like every mom, I'm just going to say it.. I feel like I was just pregnant and they grow up to fast!!
Baylee and Tanner are two of the biggest blessings in our life. Brent and I have no idea what we even talked about or did before them.
They are our life and I am so thankful to my heavenly father for making me their mom. I so happy that they chose us to raise them and teach them and of course love them.

Their personalites are growing more and more every day.
These babies know exactly how to make mom & dad smile.

They draw attention everywhere we go.
Both are so happy and content running errands with mom or just chillin at home

They still pick on each other every now and then.
When I sit them on the floor by each other they just babble and giggle to each other.
I love that they can totally entertain eachother!
They are fascinated with paper and remotes (why do babies even need toys?)

No teeth yet..
But they have a ton of hair ;)

They nap about 6 hours everyday and sleeping through the night if they get some cereal in their tummies before bed.

They make our life complete. We love them so much and love watching them grow each and every day!
we love you T&B.

..plagiocephaly..

Tanner was diagnosed with plagiocephaly awhile ago at his 4 month appointment. Plagiocephaly is also know as flat head syndrome. He has a flat spot on the back of his head. It wasn't extreamly noticiable but to the point where you want to do something about it. The Dr. recommends postitional thearpy to try and correct it in the first few months, if it doesn't correct itself the next step is to wear a helmet to help reshape his skull. As a mom I did NOT want my baby boy to wear a helmet.. so we did all we could but nothing worked, Tanner is a total back sleeper and no matter what we did to try and get him to sleep on his side he always rolled over on his back. So when he turned 6 months we took him back and sure enough we were sent to PCMC to see a plastic surgeon to see what she recommends. Helmet it was. A few weeks later he had to get a casting done of his head. He did very well during the casting. It was sort of like paper mache. They put a nylon sock over his head and laid the strips around making a perfect cast for his head. He didn't even cry until the end!

After the casting, you have to wait a few weeks until the helmet is made. So about 2 weeks later we had a little helmet boy.. He didn't like it at the beginning.

But within just a few minutes he didn't even notice..
He is allowed to take it off for one hour every day, to clean it. The first thing I noticed was that the helmet makes him SO sweaty!! his hair was completly soaked!!

But after a few days it got better and his body found another way to get rid of the heat.  So after 2 weeks I got used to it.. even though it prevents me from giving him kisses on his noggin. I know its good for him in the long run and he only has to wear it for 8-12 weeks. Its been over 3 weeks and we can already tell a reasonable difference.

Here are just some random pictures that I love..

The last 3 weeks have gone really well.. I got used to it, he didn't seem to mind it in the least..

Untill.. THE ACCIDENT:(

Yes, of course.. it was bound to happen sometime...
I feed the twins in their bumbos and I had just got done feeding them baby food and turned to the sink to make their bottles and tanner, in literally the 10 seconds I was rinsing their bottles he wiggled out of his bumbo somehow and rolled right of the counter. I turned just in time to see my baby mid air and SMACK bellyflop onto our linoleum floor! I quickly grabbed him and was so scared to look at his face. I just hugged him, I expected a bloody nose.. bruises.. the worst.. He cried for what seemed forever.. I cried. HOW? WHY?! I was so mad at myself. MOTHER OF THE YEAR... :(
He calmed down fast and since it was naptime he fell asleep. I didn't want to let him sleep very long so I woke him up after a half hour he was fine.. a little onry. (who wouldn't be..) but then he would play. then cry..this went on for a few hours. So I decided to take him in and luckily my pediatrician is open late. They discovered that he had a ear infection and a possible skull fracture..The next day we were sent to PCMC to have a ct scan of his head. Sure enough, he had a skull fracture right about his left ear.
the fracture is that big crack on the right side. :(

HOW in the world did he get that if he fell flat on his face? I don't know, but he did. My poor baby boy. They don't do anything for skull fractures they have to just heal..Don't tell me how much that ct is going to cost..I'm not excited for that bill..  so until then we don't wear the helmet due to sensitivity. --about 4 weeks!!
The next day he was as happy as can be.
Lesson learned.. we now eat chinese style on the floor ;)
Its experiences like this that make me hold on to my babies a little tighter. It made me realize how fast things can happen--in a blink of an eye.  I learned an important lesson. Does this whole thing mean I am a bad mom? No, I don't think so, but I sure felt HORRIBLE and still do about the whole thing. I am extremly thankful that their wasn't and internal bleeding, it could of been a lot worse. We truly are blessed.
Tanner is the happiest baby I know and we love him so much.
