We are both completley overjoyed to have a boy and a girl. One of each, honestly how more perfect can you get? This last monday I had the ultrasound that they look at every organ and check development, size, movement etc. We checked each babies heart, brain, spine and kidneys and so on.. and counted each finger and toe. They both are healthy and strong and developing right on schedule. I heard each of their heartbeats and confirmed the gender of each baby. They were very active and bouncing all over, the tech could barely get good shots of them because they were just little movers.
The reality that these sweet babies are ours is beginning to settle in, I'm beginning to feel them move inside and I love every moment that I can. I have to lie down for awhile but its worth it every time. Although Brent still can't feel them yet I still grab his hand just to see if he can. That will come...
People keep asking us how we feel about twins and honestly.. Brent and I both have moments that we feel completely overwhelmed and nervous and have no idea what we are going to do once they actually get here. BUT luckily we don't get that feeling at the same time so one of us is calm.. We actually feel completly thankful for the oppurtunity to become parents and are so very overjoyed. Is it going to be easy?.. heck no. But can we do it?.. Sure we can. I strongly believe that Heavenly Father does not give us anything we can not handle. We cannot wait to have these sweet children in our arms.
Brent is going to be such a great father, he has such a go with it kind of attitude and is so excited for them to get here.. Although.. I'm beginning to spend a fair amount of money buying things for them. I'm sorry. Can't help it..
I am continuing to grow larger even though at my last dr. appt. I did not gain any weight over the last month..woot woot.. But the nurse assured me.. that won't be the case next month.. due to the fact I'm expected to grow in size. By week 23 I should be the size of a nine month singleton mother.. your jealous.. I know. haha..
I'm just starting my 18th week and feeling great! nausea is gone.. appetite is back.. butt is getting bigger.. belly is getting bigger..my shirts actually getting smaller.. stretch marks coming.. ugh.. urgency to go to the bathroom..instant. stretchy skirts are my best friend.. love toast.. hate smell of cheerios. love grapefruit. Probably should sleep more. Feeling them move inside.. absolutley PeRfEcT!
I really feel so grateful how well this pregnancy has gone so far and could do it again.. not saying that Ill be thinking that again in a few months but thats why we have blogs right? To look back and remember what we said before we actually change our mind.
Sorry Ill post some pics tomarrow.. untill then.. LOVES! thank you all for your love and continued support!
