December 20, 2008, Definatley, deserserves its own post! Because it was absolutley a crazy day, full of family, friends, Plays, and parties!! The day started off with Chase and Corrine Gentry's Wedding! They were sealed in the SLC Temple at 7 o'clock in the AM!! So, we woke up around 5:30am. We both were so tired but We made it to the sealing and were so happy to be there for Chase and Corrine and glad that they are now married!! We have been good friends with them since high school. We both dated our husbands through our senior year. Then the boys went on their missions and the girls waited.. and waited.. untill about two months before chase got home Corrine decided that she was going to go on a mission.. so I waited and waited... and soon enough.. They all came home!! Corrine returned about two months ago.. yep, engaged and married within two months of being home! They sure know that the best way to go.
Next, we went back to our house and being the gym rats we are.. we went to the gym. Came back home got ready again and went to Chase and Corrines Wedding Luncheon! Which was a great experience. All of the boys stood up and shared some pretty embarrising stories about Chase. We all had a good laugh, There are so many stories that it kept us entertained for at least an hour..
After the Luncheon we were able to attend our nieces play "Babes in Toyland" at the childrens theatre in Salt Lake. Ariella played the part of a sheep and was the cutest sheep there. We were so proud of her!
Here are a few pictures of Ariella's Play! She is such a talented little stinker, and so so creative. Let me just tell you I hung out with her for about ten minutes and I was already in dress up clothes planning a play to show the family.. it was pretty good I must say, She made up the lines for us and the whole plot. I was pretty impressed. I think the family was to, maybe just suprised to see me in a bright purple princess dress with a lovely bonnett. It was actually alot of fun, she reminds me of well, me when I was little. I think she will continue acting through her whole life. After the play, We headed to the Hale Christmas Party!!





As you can tell it was quite the party!! Santa was their and even aunt and uncle reindeer!! It's never a boring night with this bunch around!! After the party we went to Chase and Corrinne's Reception!! for the final stop of the day!! There cake was so so cute! It was a gingerbread cake with a gingerbread man and woman on top!! They had these way cool candy things that cindy and I couldn't stop playing with they were so cool. And of course receptions are always a good way to run into friends you haven't seen in awhile! So here is a pic of Carissa, Genny and I, while the boys were out decorating the car.


That has got to be the longest post I have ever done!! and its only one day!!
But it was a good one!!

SNoW KiNG!

This was Brents First time back on the slopes since before his mission!! He loved it!! He went up to the Canyons with our friend Brandon for a half a day!! He had alot of fun! And is excited for the snow and for more runs to open up! Can't even tell its been three years!! As for me on the otherhand... Its like my first time EVERYTIME!

CudDLe BuG!!

So.. I came to bed.. and look who was sleeping with my husband.. suprise, suprise. We have decided sadie just loves to sleep right where we are supposed to, She won't move, its almost like she is fake sleeping but you really know she is just ignoring us. And then when we are both in bed she is right inbetween us on her back!! Its so funny that we actually just let her do it!! I know we shouldn't but.. its to cute! Take notice to my festive Christmas Sheets.. yep, flannel snowment.. Needless to say, there Brents favorite! haha..

UGLY SWEATER??

The ugly sweater Christmas party was a hit! We love having friends and family over for cookie making and some hot wassel drinkin!! Everyone came in an ugly sweater... and it was hilarious!! Sadie even had her ugly sweater on!! Thanks to everyone for making the effort, through the snow to come!! We had a GREAT time!

TeN MoNtHs!!

TEN MONTHS!
Yesterday we reached our ten month mark! So I thought I'd mention the top TENreasons I married the Best Man ever!!
10. He is a hardworker!! Brent is currently going to school full time working full time with 3 jobs!
9. He is very respectful. He treats me like a queen! By helping around the house, cleaning the cars, making dinner, and the list could go on and on..
8. He puts me first. He always makes sure everything he does is okay by me. Even if he knows I won't like the idea.. but at least he warns me right?
7. He loves family. Honestly I can't wait till we have kids because he does so great with all of his nieces and nephews! I love to watch him play around with them.
6. He never complains! With everything going on his life I have never once heard him complain about anything.
5. Great Listener. Unlike him, Im a chatter, and talk about everything to him that bugs me and some days I feel like I do nothing but complain but he is always understanding and I can tell he is listening because he comments back without any uh huhs and oh really's .. or cool..
4.He is patient. Brent works for Valley Mental Health and hangs out with kids who have autism and are bi-polar.. now for that type of job.. your patience sure gets tested! And of course he is married to the women who takes at least an hour to get ready and procrasitnates until the last minute. Thanks Hun!
3. Holds the Priesthood. He honors and cherishes his membership in the church and is a great example to me. He has such a great testimony that I love that he shares with me everyday.
2. He is extremly good looking.. lets face it.. he is ..
1. He loves me for being me. I don't know where I would be with out him in my life. He is amazing.. I love him with all my heart.

Deck the halls!

Merry Christmas!! We finally got our tree up!! and all decorated and of course I wanted to take our family picture for christmas cards! who says you have to have kids to send Christmas cards!? or have a professional photographer.. we balanced our camera on a box on top of our couch! and set the timer! but it worked out okay. We had our santa hats from the santa run and I even had one for sadie but she absolutley hated it! Can you see it in her face.. honestly I love the torture.. she makes me laugh so hard! She is the best little pup ever! And she loves playing with the balls from the tree.. she picks them up from the part it hooks from and carries them around! Its quite entertaining.. Merry Christmas Everyone!

GinGeR BrEaDHoUses!!!

Okay.. Here is our fabulous gingerbread making crew.. We had so much fun building and designing our dream houses!! haha!! I love making gingerbread houses mainly cause we get to eat candy while we build.. Of course it made a big mess.. but the boys did a good job cleaning it all up for us! Its a tradition to make gingerbread houses and keeping and eating them through the whole month of December!! one day I want to make for real gingerbread houses with actual gingerbread.. but I'm not patient enough for that.. so Graham crackers work great for now!

Wedding Bells!

Beth's Wedding Shower!! Matt and Beth are getting hitched and I couldn't be happier for them!! They are perfect together and I wish them the best!! Her shower was so fun! Its always fun to see friends I haven't seen forever and catch up.

Temple Square Lights!!

We went and saw the lights at Temple Square!! I love all the lights!! They have so many nativities this year! Going to see the lights is one of my favorite things to do during this time of the year! Although, I think we were there for a total of 20 minutes because it was so so cold!! But if you haven't made it out there, grab your mittens, scarfs, heaviest coats, and hot chocolate and GO! Its way worth it!!

1. What is your favorite Christmas Song?

The classic rudolph the red nose reindeer! Ever since I was little!!

2. What was my most memorable Christmas?

When I was little we always slept at my grandmas house and my sisters and I snuck upstairs to see all of our presents and while I was being very quiet, sneaking to all the presents I stepped in some dog poop!! and had to sneak to the bathroom to clean my foot!! eww..

that and the last christmas I had with my mom. I miss her face when she would watch us open our presents, I love her.

3. What is your favorite Christmas treat?

Ill have to go with, my grandma marges carmeled popcorn! Its delicious!

4. What do you dislike most about the Christmas Season?

umm.. wrapping presents.. cause I always procrastinate untill the last minute then spend forever wrapping one gift and making it all pretty to just be ripped open 10 minutes later.. and lets be honest.. wrapping paper + tape + me = disaster..

5. What do I like most about the Christmas Season?

Being with family, lights at temple square, hot chocolate, candy canes, classic christmas shows. Everything besides wrapping!

6. Who is the hardest person to buy for on your Christmas List?

Ill have to go with my mother in-law.. I'm sorry Joanne.. you have everything!! and if you don't you go buy it..

7. If you could recieve one gift, money not being an issue, what would you get?

Just one more day with my mom so I could tell her just how much I love and appreciate her.

8. What is your idea of a perfect Christmas Eve?

Snuggling with my husband in my Pajamas while watching classic Christmas shows!!

9. What do you like best? Hot chocolate or Egg nog?

Hot chocolate for sure!! especially the mint hot chocolate!

10. Do you prefer a fancy decorated tree or one decorated by kids?

By kids! but I don't have any yet.. so mine is just fancy. I love all the decorations that kids make and collect them throughout the years.

11. What is your favorite christmas tradition?

New Pajamas from Grandma.. they get more interesting every year!!

12. Do you like fruit cake?

love fruit.. hate cake... so ill have to say no.. I actually just thought fruit cake was just a joke..people actually eat that? ew..

13. Do you prefer skiing or snowboarding?

Well, snowboarding but only at the end of the season.. I intolerable to the cold.. but if we snowboarded in the summer I'd be all for it!

14. Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? or are you saying "Bah Humbug" to the snow?

I love a white Christmas, as long as I don't have to drive or go anywhere..

15. What is your favorite gift you recieved as a child?

My grandma always gave us a porcelin doll for christmas.

ELF!!! or all the classic Christmas shows!!

17. Have you ever eaten snow?

of course.. but not since I've learned where it comes from.. ew..

18. Who do you wish you could be with for christmas this year?

My mom!! But happy to be with all family!!

Ususally the monday after Thanksgiving, but now that I have my own house.. We still have yet to decorate...

20. Real or artificial Christmas Tree?

For Fake.. I love the smell of real ones but don't want to deal with pines and needles in my house.

Ho Ho Ho RUN!!!

We did the Santa Run in Ogden this year! Its a 5k, and all the stops have milk and cookies for you!! We got all dressed up and the dogs, and got to runnin! I honestly was wearing like 3 layers of clothes, expecting it to be cold.. but that was a bad idea.. I was pretty warm! Next time I won't bundle up so much!! People were lined up along the whole race cheering us on and some santas even sprayed kids with silly string and threw out candy!! The Santa Run is a fundraiser for the city of Ogden, so they can light up the city. After the race they had a parade light show that was pretty fun to watch!

I was tagged by Ashley to post the fourth picture in my fourth folder on my computer and It is this cute picture of Sadie about two years ago after a hidieous haircut!! The groomer totally cut her like a lion!! shaving her whole body including her wee.. ew. who like to look at that anyway.. I don't know what she was thinking! Sadie honestly hid under my bed for two days cause anyone who saw her would laugh.. lets just say, she never went back there again!!

Trolley Square FUN!!

Brandon, Luann, Brittney, Tyler, Kristen and Jame and Brent and I all had a little date night to the old spaghetti factory to celebrate 100th year anniversary of Trolley Square! All meals were under $3.00!! and let me just tell you.. we got what we paid for.. but you always have spumoni ice cream to look forward to right!!?
After Dinner we all went to our house to play games and Brent and I pulled out our game collection..(yet to play with since we got married!) and started pulling all the new games out deciding what to play and we found a wedding card we never read!! so we opened it up and there was a $200.00 Check inside!! Since its been 10 months.. who thinks we can still cash it?? haha! It was from my Grandpa and Grandma Rawlins.. so Thank You so much!! I'm not sure they read my blog.. I will call them! But we were excited!

Baby Parker!!

I only took one picture with my camera.. but My Friend Jessica McQuiston had her baby boy on November 7! Parker is such a cute little boy! I love just holding him. (but love giving him back to.) Jessica and Ryan are going to make great parents!! I'm so happy for them!! but its only been a week and I already miss her at work!! Maternity leave is so so long!! but Ill still go visit you all the time jess. Love you!!

Ate Brunch with Elder Packer and his wife he forgot to say cheese..

My cousin Heidi was sealed to Will, They make such a perfect couple! There reception was at Joseph Smith Memorial Building and was so beautiful! President Packer performed their sealing! How amazing would that be!! He is Wills grandfather. Im so happy for Heidi, she looked absolutley beautiful and so happy. I'm a tad jealous that they are moving to Hawaii. Im going to miss her. Will got a construction job out there so they will be living there for a 1 1/2 years! Good Luck! and Congrats!!
