4 month well check!

The Twins had their 4 month check up!

They absolutely love their doctor! and so do we. They were cooing and oooing at him through out the entire appointment.. NOT the nurses though. T & B just screamed at them... but in their defense they had to give them their shots. This visit they only got two. They were quick but sure got a reaction out of both babies. I don't think it will ever get easier!

Miss B. Weighed in at 11 pounds!

And Mr. T weighed in at a whomping 14. He is almost to big for the scale!!

Tanner is in the average range for everything. Besides Baylee who is pretty much on the bottom of the scale but she made it into "average" on the charts.
I love going to the Dr. To see how much they have grown. And what we should be seeing from them and expecting them to do. We got the go ahead to start feeding them rice cereal if the formula isn't enough for them. So far they make it through the night and are drinking about 5-6 ounces of formula at each meal. And are doing great.
The only bad news we had at the dr. was tanners flat head. He was diagnosed with

Plagiocephaly

which is pretty common with babies, and most just grow out of it, but some require helmets to fix and shape their heads. We noticed it a few months ago and was concerned so we just scheduled him an appointment to get it checked out. Sooner than later is better right? Has anyone had to deal with this kind of problem. We are working on transitional therapy right now. Which is just making sure he doesn't spend a whole lot of time on his back and switching him side to side during his naps. So hopefully it will help round out his little noggin.
Any other tips?

I'm so thankful for my two little munchkins. I believe we have truly been blessed with two beautiful happy, and healthy little babes. We just love them SO much!  Lets hope it continues through this cold holiday season!

{4 months}

T&B are now 4 months old!
Where does the time go? Honestly.. I love watching them grow, they learn something new everyday.. latest trick.. reaching up to grab a toy. They both love to snuggle and are my little heaters.
Daylight savings has proven to be not welcome in our house. But they are starting to get back on track.. whew! that only took a week! Last night they made it 10-7. Slowly but surely we will make it to 8 again..
Sleeping babies are happy babies..

..I can't get enough of these sweet cheeks..

The cold is not welcome either.. all it brings is stuffy noses and sneezes. Thank goodness for the blue boogie sucker thinger we have.. Most used product in our house right now besides diapers ;) But I'm loving dressing them in cuddly fleece jackets.. twin style
I think they like it to ;)

Brent and I have both enjoyed becoming parents, we cherish every moment with these little bundles and their personalities are starting to come out and it makes me laugh. Tanner is a little chatter bug and Baylee has a shy beautiful smile that she loves to share.
...until I pull out the camera.. then they just go all serious..
model children.

Happy 4 months my babies.
You are my world.

It was Brents Birthday November 2! He is the big 25.. half way to fifty honey love..
Brent had a great birthday, we had some family over to help celebrate!
We enjoyed the traditional Ice cream cake and Brent was spoiled with big boy gifts.

I also asked everyone close to him to email me something that they love/admire about him or a funny story. Here

are only a few..

This is from Brooklyn:
Hi Uncle Brent, this is Brooklyn! I hope you have a Happy Birthday! I love you, bub-bye!

This is from Brinley:
Hi Uncle Brent! I hope your birthday is fantastic! I love you and miss you! See you in 2 weeks.
Love Brinley

Stella says:
Happy Birthday uncle Brent!

Brent,
I think you are an incredible man. It's been so fun to watch you grow up. I am impressed with your strengths. You are so easy going and adaptable. People are drawn to you because of your kind spirit, funny humor and wit. You are very wise yet humble. You are such a cute dad to your babies. And a sweet husband to your cute wife.
I hope your birthday is wonderful. We'll see you in 2 weeks!

Your favorite sister-in-law (I can say that for now anyway)!
Lori

Hate to admit it but brent might have been the cutest Bement kid.... Mullet and all. It wasn't just his cute, squishy little face, we all had those, right? But a lot of it has to do with Brent's positive outlook on life and even- temperement. Kind of mellow but goofy... that brother of mine. He was a good kid, and an even better man.... who doesn't mind an occasional "swift kick in the pants" from his older sis! Love you bro!

When Brent was a little boy he was very sensitive. It was really cute
because I could stare at him and he would start to cry. I would simply
look at him and say Beats (which was his nickname) and he would pout up
and the tears would start. He was a pudgy little man with a mullet
haircut and a big smile.

Even though he is now a man in every sense of the word he is still
really sensitive to feelings and to others. He is always very helpful
and thoughtful. He seldom complains so when he does you know it is time
to listen.

One of my favorite things about my little brother is how laid back and calm he is.  He never seems to lose his head!
I remember one time in high school he let our old dog Tank out of his kennel late at night and we couldn’t find him, while I was panicking trying to find Tank Brent just stayed in bed and said Tank wanted to roam the neighborhood for a while!

As an infant, I admired his hairy back and triceps (I think he’s grown out of that or maybe now he just gets Candice to shave it for him). I also admired the fact that rather than crawling like most infants, he would scoot on his back earning him the nickname “Scooter”. Now that I look back on it…maybe he scooted as a way of scratching his hairy back (you know, kind of like a deer rubbing the velvet off of his antlers).
·         As a child, I admired his bowl-cut hairdo. That was awesome. I also loved that we called him “Beets”. Martina knows the origin of that one better than I do but I think it had to do either with him getting red in the face (like a beet) when he was angry or with the fact that he was a chubby little boy and could “beat” up on people pretty well. I also liked how he would blush and lower his head when teased about having a girlfriend…which of course he never did have until Candice. ;)
·         As a young man, I admired his commitment and dedication to succeed in whatever endeavor he undertook (whether football, snowboarding, hunting, school, etc.). He is very coachable and teachable which will make him succeed at anything to which he applies himself. I remember throwing a football in the backyard, both of us working on our throwing mechanics and our dream of being a high-school quarterback.
·         As a man, I admire who he is. He served an honorable full-time mission and shared his “Brentness” with people as far away as Argentina. He is sensitive yet strong. He is a hard-worker. He is smart. He is quick to smile. He is humble. He is faithful. He likes to please those who love him. He is a good husband and father. He is a worthy priesthood holder. He is Brent and we love him.

- Kenny (brother)

Why Brent is my favorite.
His kindness was the first thing I noticed about Brent. I was really nervous about meeting any of Martina's family so soon after her divorce, I thought nobody would care to meet "the new husband". Brent was was so nice to me I instantly felt like I was welcome to the family. It was a big deal to me at that time and I will never forget it. Thanks Brent

- Jason (brot-inlaw)
