This is for all my friends, relatives or blog stalkers that are pregnant or have been pregnant. These are things that I miss about being pregnant, wish someone would of told me while I was pregnant and finally the things that are wonderful about not being pregnant.
* The moment you find out your pregnant you are so excited and start planning on how your going to tell your husband.. you start eating better and wondering what you can and cannot eat while pregnant. Because now your world revolves around the child growing inside of you.
* Your motherly instinct kicks in and you become more emotional, protective and probably drive a little slower.
* Your butt.. lets face it. It does get bigger.

* Your butt.. lets face it. It does get bigger.
*Cravings. I didn't get very many. But indulge. But just know your not eating for two (or three) portions still matter :)
*Towards the end you eat less. Theres just no room in there.
* Stretch marks. They may or may not happen, if your lucky. PS. They can show up ANYWHERE! Don't wait till your 6 months to look at your butt in the mirror. It may be tearful.
* Swimming is amazing. Being pregnant in the summer isn't to bad as long as there is a pool close by.
* Exercise, Yes your pregnant and getting bigger anyway. But a little exercise will help you feel better about yourself.
* Bio oil. get it. use it. love it.
*Vacations. Take them, go with your husband and enjoy the time you have together. Although you will spend about 90% of your time talking about the babies.
* Your husband will try to get you to put off buying stuff for the nursery.. You stress enough over it. They cave eventually.

*Ask your husband to rub your back in return that you will rub his.
*The pregnancy pillow is a need. I discovered this late in my pregnancy but those 4 days I slept with it was a few good nights.
* The end of the pregnancy, is hard. enough said. But those who start complaining at 4 months with one baby, just stop. You have a long road ahead.
* When your dr. starts checking your cervix.. this is your warning. It is not extremly painful but it does hurt. Make your husband go with you so he can hold your hand.
* Labor contractions, to me just felt like really bad menstral cramps. Not super painful just uncomfortable. You will be fine.
* Before you go to the dr. Shave.. you will shave blindly but at least it will spare the nurse from having to do that for you.
* Get pedicures often. And don't feel bad about it.
* I liked to use a medicine ball to lay on to relieve back pain.
* C-Sections. I would do it again. I don't know any different but it wasn't bad for me at all. I feel like I had a great recovery.
* If you have a C-section you will lay on a table. revealing all your glory, with lots of spectators. eh. oh well. And your husband is the only one allowed in there. Let alone the only one you actually want in there. no video but still pics are ok.
* Epidural/Spinal is wonderful. My anesthelogist was wonderful and hope to see him in future deliveries. The numb feeling isn't like the dentist its more like a warm feeling.
* The hospital has the best ice and they even have flavors.. mix the cherry and the lime that was my favorite!
*You get to wear fancy mesh panties, Take some home with you to.
* A baday (can't spell that word) would be helpful. Instead you get to squirt yourself with a bottle.
*With that bottle.. make sure its full of water BEFORE you sit down to go potty.
* Stay in the hospital as long as you can and take all the diapers, wipes, and formula you can get. The hospital doesn't pay for them they are all donated so take advantage.
*You will get a catheder in, Its wierd going in.. and wierd going out. Painful? No.
* Let your baby stay in the nursery at night. But you really won't get any sleep because you will be interuppted several times throughout the night.
* The hospital does not provide meals for your husband so pack some food for him. He will get sick off of Lorna doones soon enough.
*For breakfast, do not get the waffles or eggs. They are gross. blech!
*On the same note, have him go down to the cafeteria to get food and if you feel up to it go with him. At IMC its good, cheap food. We joke about going back for a date.. but we are serious.
* After delivery.. you won't go number two for awhile but when you do.. its worse then labor.. just sayin' , stool softners. Yes please.
*You get used to telling people you can pass gas.
*Some nurses are awesome, some are crazy wierd and the lactation consultants come visit you, a different one everyday and everyday each one will tell you something different. Do what works best for you. But I learned something that I liked from each one. And when they grab your boob its okay. You'll get used to it. Ha!
*If you have a c-section, they take the staples out the last day, it doesn't hurt at all. no worries.
*Percocet does get into your breast milk and can make your baby sleepy. I stopped taking it when I got home.
*I miss feeling them move inside of me. And that nice place where my plate fit right in front of me.
*I don't miss people I don't know rubbing my belly.
*My clothes!! I fit in all of them now and I love it.
*Get A WRAP! It will help your uterus shrink back down quicker and the hospital has them! So you don't have to buy one. I bought one.. then I got one for free from my Dr. at the hospital but you have to ask for it.
*Oh. and that pain in your back. It goes away.
*Newborns, SLEEP alot! So you will have time to do things when you get home. That I thought wouldn't happen.. I shower, read, clean. You have time to relax between feedings.
* You learn to laugh when you are pumping, feeding and facebooking at 3am.
The first time your husband watches you pump.. he will probably laugh but then after the 6th time that day he will feel bad for you.
* dont cry over spilled milk.. theres more where that came from ;)
*enjoy the new adventure, I love my babies so much! I could just stare at them all day.
* Babies are simply wonderful
Hope you all can benefit from this post.. or at least get a laugh.

Oh my gosh are you kidding me? I am laughing and I am going to THANK YOU for this lovely post! Ahhhh, so helpful for when I am going through this same thing...Love ya!! Keep sending text pics!
It is funny how quickly we are humbled isn't it. You are very lucky your labor contractions didn't hurt too bad. I knew I was in labor both times because the pain was so bad, I felt like I was going to throw up, and with Mabel my epidural didn't work, and pushing without an epidural after my water broke, was just about the worst pain I could have even imagined. Someone could have shot me in the head and I don't think it would have hurt as bad. But your post made me laugh and is all too true. Don't you love motherhood? It is the best thing in the whole world.
some of these seriously cracked me up. especially having the bottle full before sitting on the potty!
Loved it sis!!! So cute!! And sooo true! :) All things you don't think to pass on to the next preggers. See you next week!! ahh!! Can't wait! Love you!

I loved your list! It was so fun to read through and laugh about, because it's all so true. I especially loved the part about stool softeners and pumping!!
